A mission team from EnCompass Church in Minnesota visited Haiti in June of 2012 on a mission trip with World Wide Village. They went to Haiti expecting to make a positive impact, but discovered it they were the ones really impacted. So much so that they didn t want to leave.

World Wide Village and the Family Housing Fund have partnered with homebuilders, remodelers, suppliers, brokers and agents to develop the Plus One Home Project. The Plus One project seeks pledges from those in the building and real estate trades to donate funds to help build homes in Haiti for each home they build or sell in this country.

Green home builder Ray Pruban will pay to build a home in Haiti for every home he sells in Minnesota. He calls it the “Plus One Home Project” and encourages every builder in the country to follow suit.
