in Dumont is safe, the school is still standing. They are planning to reopen this week!
PRAYER: We have a 40 foot shipping container of prepackaged meals at the docks in Port au Prince. Please pray that it will be released very soon so we can begin distributing food.
PRAISE: The Community Health Initiative Medical Team #1 is returning home after 10 days of intense service in Leogane - one of the hardest hit areas outside Port au Prince. CHI is working in collaboration with several groups (Children’s Nutrition Program, Salvation Army, Episcopol Relief and Development), Team #2 is now in Leogane continuing to work in the clinic. Teams are scheduled for 7 to 10-day stints through March.
PRAISE: Because of an extremely generous donor, Randy is preparing to board a C-130 cargo plane tomorrow containing a complete 50-bed mobile medical hospital destined for Leogane. It will be in place indefinitely as the need persists. Our Community Health Teams will work there.
PRAISE: We have been helping to coordinate air drops of food boxes to romote areas west of Port au Prince. The people in these villages have been cut off from food supplies for nearly two weeks.
PRAYER: Please continue to pray for stamina and resources for all the missionaries and medical personnel still working tirelessly to treat injuries from the quake. They work in makeshift conditions with inadequate supplies and are being used by God to accomplish amazing thing. We mourn all the losses of the last two weeks, but we are grateful that the world now sees Haiti, knows her needs and is willing to help. For those of you who have given financially, with your prayers and with offers to help, we sincerely thank you.
