Sponsor a Student
In Haiti, 47% of the population is illiterate. An estimated 80% are termed “functionally illiterate” meaning reading and writing skills are inadequate to cope with daily life. The average female in Haiti has attend only 2 years of formal education by age 25.
The heart of World Wide Village’s work in Haiti is education. We envision a day when every child has access to quality Christian education, is immunized, and enjoys healthy and nutritional daily meals. With your investment, World Wide Village can provide resources for 800-900 children to attend school each year. World Wide Village also supports feeding programs for 5,000 children in villages across Haiti.
For only $28.00 per month, you can invest in the life of a student in Haiti by providing him or her with the opportunity to attend one of our partner Christian Primary Schools. They will not only receive access to education, but also will receive nutritional hot lunches, school supplies, access to health care clinics – and HOPE!
As a sponsor of one of our students you will receive:
- A photo ID of your student
- Quarterly newsletters with school and village updates
- Annual Report with child education information
- Correspondence between your student and you
- An annual statement of your tax-deductible contributions
